1. Tokyo Skytree, Japan – 634 meters (2,080 ft). Opened in 2012 and made of steel. It is a broadcasting, restaurant, and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo, it the tallest tower in the world

 

2. Cantor Tower, China – 600 meters (2,000 ft). Opened in 2010. The tower briefly held the title of tallest tower in the world, replacing the CN Tower, before being surpassed by the Tokyo Skytree in 2011. It is a multi-purpose Chinese observation tower in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou, China

 

3. CN Tower, Toronto, Canada – 553.3 meters (1,815 ft). It was completed in 1976, becoming the world’s tallest free-standing structure and world’s tallest tower at the time. It held both records for 34 years until the completion of Burj Khalifa and Canton Tower in 2010. It remains the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere

 

4. Ostankino Tower, Moscow, Russia – 540.1 meters (1,772 ft). Opened in 1967, It is a television and radio tower in Moscow. It is currently the tallest freestanding structure in Europe and seventh tallest in the world. The tower was the first free-standing structure to exceed 500 m (1,600 ft) in height.

 

5. Oriental Pearl Tower, China – 468 meters (1,535 ft). Opened in 1994, and used as a TV tower in Shanghai, China

 

6. Milad Tower, Iran – 435 meters (1,427 ft). Opened in 2007, multi-purpose concrete tower located in Tehran

 

7. KL Tower, Malaysia – 421 meters (1,381 ft), opened in 1995 and made of concrete. It is the tallest tower in South East Asia

 

8. Tianjin Radio and Television Tower, China – 415.2 meters (1,362 ft) concrete tower opened in 1991 in Tianjin

 

9. Central Radio and TV Tower, China – 405 meters (1,329 ft) concrete tower opened in 1992 in Beijing

 

10. Zhongyuan Tower, China – 388 meters (1,273 ft) steel made tower in Zhengzhou, China. Opened in 2011. It is used as a television tower, 200-guest revolving restaurant. and observation tower. It was the highest steel structure tower in the world for a short while until it was surpassed by Tokyo Skytree
