September 20th: Pvt. Parker, Missing In Action by D. K. Latta

Please join us at 8:30 P.M. (EDST) on September 20th, 2014 (0030 September 21st (GMT), in #readers_corner, for a discussion of the short story Pvt. Parker, Missing In Action by D. K. Latta. Like last week's story this is a contemporary one. It's an unusual kind of ghost story; one that is more thought provoking than scary.

This story is my first encounter with the author. The Huffington Post (on line edition, dtd: Sep 14, 2014) offers this brief description of his literary career: " When not trying to earn a real living, D.K. Latta occasionally writes SF and fantasy stories, and has written pop culture opinions on everything from comic books to radio drama.
