Administrators Nan Posted February 8, 2014 Administrators Report Posted February 8, 2014 Here is a photo taken today of one of our local waterfalls where the Barron River, cascades down from our mountains towards the coast. We are in the middle of a strong monsoonal weather pattern and have had almost constant rain for over a week. It's beautiful, but deadly too if you are downstream of those falls. The Barron goes from the Tablelands in the mountains down to the coast near Cairns. The second picture is the lake where the Barron River starts it's descent down 3,000 ft to the coast (and where we ski now and then)
Smiley Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 That lake looks like it should have a mess of crappies and black bass in it (I don't know that either fish is native to Oz).
TV_Tech Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Grab a kayak and hang on for the ride!! ....oh yea, don't forget the fishing gear for the end of ride thanks Nan!!
Administrators Koach Posted February 14, 2014 Administrators Report Posted February 14, 2014 you should hop in your kayak and ride those falls to the bottom lol
