Koach_Bot Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 ORIGINALLY POSTED BY Firefly1 Firefly's Flock Here's one I put in the msn group. It was taken in about 2003 or 4 I can't remember. Back when we lived in NC for a short period of time. Posting it here for Grip cuz she can't reply in the msn group A picture from my yard of a baby Florida Gopher Turtle. They are a protected species. No one is allowed to bother them in anyway by way of touching them or picking them up and moving them. If you have to for example, they are in the middle of a road going from one side to another, you can either wait or pick them up and carry them over to the other side as long as it was the direction they were going. When you put them down, it must be the same direction they were facing when you picked them up. I had to do this once when one got stuck in my backyard which is fenced in. The only thing I was affraid of was the turtle pooping on me, it's a defence thing they do when alarmed lol.
