Koach_Bot Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 The discussion about 'Kew Gardens' by Virginia Woolf really evolved to a larger discussion about what constitutes a short story. While I acquiesed the lack of plot or character development I tried to communicate my position that I loved this story because it was like a respite from thinking and just an immersion of my senses in the scene created. The guys simply did not agree, but I give them huge cudo's for reading it. I was the only female point of view until thankfully Logos and Star arrived - I felt sure my position would be bolstered. Read the log to find out (although the ranking summary below may give you a clue). The Rankings for the Discussion were: entertainment value : 2, 3.5, 2, 2, 2.5, 1.5 = 2.58 AVG artistic merit : 2, 2, 4, 2.5, 3, 2.5 = 2.6 AVG the chat : 3, 3.3, 3, 3, 4.5, 3 = 3.3 AVG See you next week. g
