Moli is 13 and getting on, I carried her home in the palm of my hand when she was 5 weeks old. She is a chihuahua-shizu cross. Laylah is a pedigree Tibetan Spaniel and only 3.5 years so still a bit of a puppy really, she's very funny and has a great personality.

ANZAC Day happens in Australia on 25th April every year. Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War and is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25th April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during WW1. It now more broadly commemorates all those who died and served in military operations for their countries.Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook Islands, Niue and Tonga, as well as Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, France. Every ANZAC Day there are several ceremonies held - all cities and towns have their own celebrations which include a Dawn Service, a Street March and then usually a lunch and a game of two-up at the local pub. This year I will attend the service at the gravesite of the man who held the very first Dawn Service in Australia. He was Padre White and an Anglican Padre in WW1 and he held a service with his parishoners on April 25th 1930 at Albany in Western Australia. Since then the Dawn Service is held on ANZAC Day all over Australia and NZ and in many other countries such as Gallipoli and France. To all those who served and still serve in the armed forces, their family, descendants and friends, gather to say "thank you" for what they have done. Lest we Forget

Happy Easter to all - I realise not everyone celebrates "Easter" - however to me it's a family time and a time to reflect on the past 12 months, so for everyone who has family and will be spending time with them over the Easter holidays, enjoy your time together. Here in Australia we have the Easter Bilby (we have bunnies too of course). Why an Easter Bilby? Well the Easter Bilby is the Australian version of the Easter Bunny. Rabbits have already caused the extinction of the Lesser Bilby in Australia and there are now less than 1000 Greater Bilbies left in the wild. Promoting the Easter Bilby helps spread awareness of their plight and will help save them.

Saturday night around the world is Earth Hour! What is Earth Hour? At 8:30 PM on Saturday 26th March 2011, lights will switch off around the globe for Earth Hour and people will commit to actions that go beyond the hour. http://www.earthhour.org/Homepage.aspx Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million individuals and more than 2,000 businesses turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change. Only a year later and Earth Hour had become a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries/territories participating. Global landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, CN Tower in Toronto, Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and Rome
