Some Mac users are having a difficult time getting to chat.  Someone supplied me with some information which apparently is working for many of our Mac using friends.  I thought I would share it here with you so that you can pass it on to any Mac using friends of your own that are having a hard time getting to chat.
 
Go to http://www.macorchard.com/chat/Conversation.php and download Conversation v 2.4.1 (if that is compatible with your OS) or the earlier version. They both work.
 
Run the application. Under the FILE menu it will say NEW. Select that and it should say "Server" at the top of the dialog box that pops up.
 
In the text box below, way at the bottom, type "irc.koach.com" and to the right of that is a drop down menu - select open & add to favorites.
 
In that same file/new/dialog box where it said server at the top - change that to "channel" and type in the room name.
 
Both versions of Conversation are Freeware.
